This week's guest is a comic book writer! Taylor King is the writer of "Gl'urk and Bo Meet an Angel of Death" The first issue of their Gl'urk and Bo series (and shared universe as discussed in the episode...) We had a great time talking to Taylor and he even shares his script so we can discuss his style of writing comic scripts. It was also interesting hearing how he worked with the artist and how the production process was able to come together. You can read a FREE PREVIEW of Gl'urk and Bo on the website http://bgcomics.com and make sure to Follow and Support their upcoming Kickstarter Campaign which is launching THIS WEEK! You can find Taylor on Instagram @tee.es.k
Eric also reviews the comic Chew by Rob Guillory in this episode.

The Randomly Improvised Episode 18
Tuesday Oct 20, 2020
Tuesday Oct 20, 2020
This week we are joined by Eric Sublawn (Sablan) and Kevin Veloso for a really strange and random improvised episode! Although, we also do a review of CURSE WORDS and talk a little bit about Keegan's comic "The Nefarious Mr. Green".
The large part of this episode is overrun by an improvised format called "The Bat"...i.e. we turned off our cameras and did improvised "scene" without being able to hear each other. The suggestion was just "Dumb Comic Creators" so naturally the scenes are really dumb too.
We'll be back to our normally scheduled programming next week!

We also get to discuss with him how much playstation and xbox consoles cost in Argentina and some of his new pages for his upcoming comic "Highlarity"

Friday Oct 02, 2020
Friday Oct 02, 2020
It's the 16th episode! Calendar wise that is a big deal! If you're more interested in the metric system, this is not a milestone you will really value!!
Our guest this week was Jude Brown, creator of Carrot.Comics on Instagram. Jude is a creator living in Scotland and tells us about how she began making comics and some of her influences. We had a lovely time talking with her and hope you enjoy!
We also spoke with Henry, Eric's nephew, and a very harsh comic book critic. Henry reviews Death Maze 2 (now available on our website dumbcomiccreators.com)
Finally, we go over the first rough pages of The Dealmaker, we cover the making-of Death Maze 2, and review a comic. It's a jam-packed episode. We know you'll get your money's worth!

Episode 14 - Editing A Comic Book Script + Review of Invasion on Aisle 2
Thursday Sep 17, 2020
Thursday Sep 17, 2020
This week we did another tedious "editing" episode. If you're writing a comic book script, this could be a good episode to listen to, we went through Eric's new draft of "The Dealmaker" and talked about how to change it and get it ready to be read by comic book artists. If you aren't editing or writing a comic book script, you may want to skip to the second music drop to hear our review of Erik Jasek's comic Invasion on Aisle 2!
And can we just say, thanks so much for listening to our podcast? This episode is just us editing a script, it's TEDIOUS. TEDIOUS TEDIOUS TEDIOUS. We hope you enjoy it though! That's what craft is, it's tedious sometimes but it makes for better art. Writing is Editing. Other cliche editing sayings.

Oh my! Buckle up, because this episode is longggggg. This could take you at least two or three loads of laundry to listen to...
This week The Dumb Comic Creators are joined by Erik Jasek, a fantastic indie comic artist and writer, who talks about his process and how he got started making comics. Erik has several published comics and an upcoming sequel to his Invasion on Aisle 2 comic that is being released in installments on his Instagram page.
Later, Eric and Keegan give updates on their personal comic projects. Then Keegan does a demo for any interested writers who want to convert their novel or short story to comic book script. The process is different than converting screenplays. Keegan does a demo using The Wizard of Oz as an example.
Finally they review the comic (heads up: spoilers!) Freak Snow: Washed in Blood written by Kevin Roditeli and art by Rob Cannon.
